take the filter off, put original airbox back on, take all the slots in the airbox casing out = much better noise
why would taking all the slots out make a better noise mate?

Ive voted as I'm intrigued to see what it is
The slots is something to do with the sound or something, i remeber reading it on here, i have been side to side with a normal 172 which are the same and the only difference is my airbox slots removed and engine noise was louder when pulling away,
if you want a vid, il be glad to do one

Its for FCS next year, looking at breaking/making a new world record for a certain type of car on track in one sucession.
Some one did it with any type renault last year standing at 550 and then 150'ish for the renault alpines in central france.
I made the suggestion for FCS 2009 when the Dan Bayes parade was on but there is a minimum of 12weeks wait on paper work.
This time a year in advance, currently looking at media coverage its a different storey.
Would be saying to anyone to do this a small donation of 2 or 3 quid to help cover cost of used track time but all the money left over goes to DB's charity.
say minimum of 200 people x £3 with £2 of that to charity is £400. Obviously the more cars the more money, ultimatly his and the clubs name in the book.

Simple answer to this is No!
Myself, Mark and the CS high lords do not want a cliosport version of the saxo lap from FCS 2010.
It wont be possible, just for health and safety reasons there will be too many cars on the oval to race, I have been talking that anyone caught doing things that could potentially cause a risk to others on the track during this event may be banned from the show. Well im pressing for it and i will name and shame anyone who does it, if some one did it we could loose the attempt then all my work and everyone eles goes to s**t.

Looking to smash that then, from other forums and people i know of with 2.0 rs clios inluding the above numbers ive got to about 600 so far, say if 30-50% of them turn up then thats 180-300 cars on track. It wont be single forum record but could be main association and involvement for it.

I'm a member of sax-p (wasn't at FCS at the time) I shall apologise on behalf of everyone that was there a few (insert 4 letter word)s ruined that lap and ended up getting banned fromthe site and alot of abuse from fellow users.

Stu - just to state i was down bad mouthing the whole of that group, i know most of it went with great success and hope 95% of your members enjoyed it, was a massive shame that the few that ruined it.

yeah, if i go then ill help out no probs matey. i did say to my self this time that if i had done some track time, then it would have been a better day so ill probly get on the track to make it worth it.
