2.0 turbo Nova

a lad i no as bought a turbo'd nova and seems to think its the fastest thing ever.. he said it does 0-60 in 4.4 is there any truth in this and are they that quick. just wana no for arguments sake.

one of my neighbours has got an MGF, he says it does 0-60 in 4 seconds. I just p*ss myself each time he says it.

mate had a 2.0 16v nova and that was a quick as mine. a turbo will be quicker but 4.4 econds is a bit optomistic. plus you would have to be a really good driver to get it going that quick with out wheel spin.

They are quick cars 200hp stock 250 with a chip plus its a turbo so moe power in the whole rev range.
4.4 seconds to 60 is unlikly though

ol boy round our area had a 20l redtop in his nova van was quick also there is an ol boy who has got a 20l turbo nova,harry 182 knows him so he can back me up.. which is pushing out about 330 bhp.. he takes it to pod quite a bit. looks like a 1.2 tbh but then it dumps and sounds lush, just a shame its a nova!!

A decent limited slip diff and they fly. Trust me if its been tweaked itll do 5's maybe lower with a dialled start. XE Novas average high 5's low 6's and thats 150 bhp......

Not the best wat to build one as it defeats the object of the cars, keeping the small block 8v in mine all the way for pure handling and b road fun!

like edde says its probably 250+bhp and if it has an LSD there's no reason why not. people take the piss out of Nova's, but I have time and respect for a nice clean stock looking GTE or GSI with a 2.0 16v or turbo... think most people would enjoy them if they could take their heads out their arses for a moment... end of the day there's nowt wrong with a clean original looking Nova and I cant see the 2.0's being owned or driven by anything other than a true enthusiast... Clio will have the same stigma when they become cheap enough anyway...

my mates was a saloon lol it was great chasing audi tt and bmw drivers down the motorway in an e reg nova saloon at nearly 130. oh it was a private motorway

a mate of mine used to have a red top nova. not a chav the car was a performance vauxhall show winner & featured ect modified concourse winner. as well as the 2.0ltr it was chipped & race clutch. im not kiding that it could to 0.60 in under 5 seconds not sure exactly what but he has all the details ect.

i ive seen a road going one with a six speed sequential (sp) box, now that was a fcuking tool i tell you, sounded gorgeous and went like s**t off a shovel

Taylor's mate has a 2.0 16v non turbo that does 14.0 @ 97mph... so not exactly shy! good cars, think the chavs overlook them mostly these days...
