2" vs 2.5"

Thinking of having a custom exhaust done and the guy who is probably going to be doing it for me reccomended sticking with 2".

Is there a big difference between 2" pipework and 2.5" pipework performance wise etc?

Most people on here will say 2.5" but IMO you're better sticking closer to 2". Yes, most of the aftermarket exhausts are 2.5" but people forget that exhausts cater for people running 230bhp plus. Therefore if you're running less i.e. under 200bhp you'd be better sticking with 2 to 2.25".

Gone for 55mm myself which is 2.167", hoping it should be spot on.

99% of the aftermarket exhausts for the Clio Sports are 2.5 inch

If your going for aftermarket id stick to that personally

Standard bore on 182 is 2.25" between the cat and the point where the exhaust splits in to 2
