2 x induction cones on my clio???

  Breaking A 172 Replica
Feel like modding the car in some way today...

Any advantage to using two Induction cones (piperX and K+N)?

Will it sound better?

Breathe better?

Yeah I feed them to just behind the grille.

I would drill through twice on the base plate then weld on a bit of metal to which the other tube could attach.

Is there any advantage though?

Clio 172 twin turbo?

The advantge of 2 IK's would be that you can lose 5bhp with each of them... heat soak mate, both a waste of time, get a panel filter instead.

How would they lose power through heat soak though matey?

They would both be adjacent to the front grille so the air is going to be as cold as you can get?

front grill also has a big warm radiator! lol I had a relocation pipe down to the front grill, and i took it off.. sound was ok on high revs... but it was much slower... so put original airbox back on and got a panel filter :)

ever thought about running a pipe from ure internal air vents to ure filter with the air con on full whack? LOL

lol - if only I had aircon....

Right ok, forgot about the radiator but when the air is flowing, presumabely you won't get any air from the radiator? It will all come from outside?

Sam, I got P-X induction kit on mine and ive only noticed a better response from my car, in terms of power input it's very small - if any.

Don't bother with 2 mate, my advice would be to get a good cold air feed pipe and run it from under the front grill or that gap between the grill and engine block upto the cone just to scope some cold air up.

At the moment I have pipe attatched to the air intake bracket of the engine then the pipe runs to the front grille where the Induction cone is attached.

If I were to do two I would have one where it is now and then the other down near the fog lights.

  Whichever has fuel
Put a hair dryer on cold and sellotape it to the induction pipe. Voila, one clio turbo.......

**please don't actually do this....
