i prefer to take it to redline and remove the heat shield to melt the cable into place, none of this mincing around a 2k rpm nonsense. I asked them to take mine out for a before and after spin to see what the difference was like and requested that they give it death. I remember being told "always thrash it from cold, as thats when the car is faster..." ;)

i like it like the way i play snooker, sink the pink and down the brown

when i break, i like the "from behind, not too hard" technique

(has this gone off topic yet?)

LOL... its almost like a prison drama in here now!!! hehe

anyway... someone said something about cams and chips earlier im sure... or maybe that was a different thread... ;)

If youre talking 20 or 30% LOSS and you want to work it back you want to take the atw figure and divide by 0.8 or 0.7 not multiply by 1.2 or 1.3 ;)

already factored in, losses arent really that high, but to include total rolling losses, whcih are higher on a RR than on a real road.

same as vat

to add to gross you + 17.5%, to remove vat you cant just subtract 17.5%

you have to divide by 47 then multiply that figure by 7, that gives vat % then subtract that from the net to get the pre vat price!

Forgive meif Im wrong (I cant be arsed checking the thread) but it was RRd at 140 ATW non? By my calcs that gives a very close approximation to the correct standard output non?

Therefore using the same calcs (assuming as Fred says you used the same rollers)the calcs are exactly the same and so power would be c189BHP, give or take a few. Still seems way out. Correct me on the 140 issue though by all means as thats what Im basing my calcs on.

you are correct.

our car did just that,

140 atw, making on the day 179 bhp! almost perfect std power.

Shorter way is to divide the number by 1.175 and that will give the pre net price as well...

this is boring me.. show us some sounds from inside and out + 0-100 vids or at least recorded times with the ap22 sport meter. standard 172 will do 0-100 in 17.5s 182 17s.

how much LBFT before and after.

sorry if it has been mentioned before.
