2002 172 drivers window knock when closing, please help!

Hi,

I've been a member for a while but this is my first post, hopefully someone can help.
Recently when the drivers side window is going up there is a rubbing noise and a loud click when the window is fully closed.
is there a common fault that causes this? I haven't removed the door panel yet but would like to know what to look for when I do.

I have the same problem but my clunk happens when the window goes down - drivers side too.

i think it'll be the clip in the window mines done it for ages!

There's a good chance its this little clip pictured, it stops the window from tilting forward. They usually fall off and drop inside the door or get stuck in the window seal itself.
