2002 plate 1.5dci rumbling noise

  1.5DCI/1.4RT new 7 seater
We own a 52 plate 2002 clio 1.5 dci which has only around 16000 miles on the clock which is a great wee car howevr when driving it at any speed on any type of raod surface whether cornering or not there is a constant rumbling type of noise almost as if driving constantly over the runble strip on a motorway or cat eyes, there is a vibration through the accelerator padal at the sametime it is more apparent on a flatish surface.
This car has been mechanically tested and no faults were found also it has just passed its mot with no problem.
Is there any inherant problems with these cars and any know cures to it.

2 things on a DCI.

1. Offside engine mount fails, have a look at it the threaded stud should appear to be in the middle and not falling to the front or back. Bit hard to explain but I think you get what I mean.

2. Alternator belt vibration due to incorrect tension. Open bonnet get someone to rev the engine while you visually inspect the belt for excess vibration.
