Yesterday I took my clio out after month or so of no use and it seems to have developed a problem with the thermostat/coolant temp sensor.
The temperature gauge was jumping between the midpoint and max, with the stop light coming on at max temp. After around 30 seconds the needle would then fall. This continued for the 40 minute journey.
I've had a quick search and the thermostat or coolant temperature sensor seem to be the most likely culprits. Anyone had this problem or similar before? What's the best way of determining what's at fault?
