Not sure exactly where it's coming from, somewhere around the driver's side engine/timing belt area. Noise disappears after moving off. Possibly related information:
- Just passed 70k miles, so timing belt/water pump is due a change now.
- Engine has been occasionally losing power and juddering at idle with no obvious pattern as to the cause and no error codes/lights. Very rarely has lost power at speed, once was limp-home mode but cleared the error and it never returned. Already gave the HT lead ends and one of the spark plugs a light clean as they were a touch dirty.
- Often is difficult to change into first gear only, again no obvious pattern.
