2003 Clio Cup MPG

I own a 2003 Clio Cup 172, the computer says it is getting 41mpg but it must be wrong as the fuel guage seems to go down in around 250-300 miles depending on driving, but trip says 120mile left.

I get about 275-350 out of mine dependant on how and where I have been.
