2005 Clio 1.2 16v Induction

Hey,

Not bothered about performance at all to be honest just want a nicer sound as the car sounds like a washing machine at the moment! What sort of kit would be best for my 1.2 16v, what sort of sound would i get? If i got one would i need any sort of adaptor plate?

Thanks if anyone can help..

DRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

somthing a bit like that LOL

na seriously it will have a nice roar to it, well worth it just avoid the k-tec relocated kits i praised mine untill i drove a car with the airbox on again and realised how much low down torque i had lost. sounds good though

so basically ill still get a nice sound out of it with a standard stock exhaust yeh? Also, ive been reading and whats the deal with cold air feeds, will i need one?

for some reason it wont let me edit previous posts ive made? oh well...

in the post above i was meant to say...

are ITG, K&N or other brand the loudest through the full range of revs? rather than just high up? Im looking for noise right through like a nice deep sound sort of, even at low revs when pulling away, its hard to explain

if your only interested in sound, try this - take the cold air feed off the airbox. it shouldnt be too difficult, just pull it off and set it to the side. even with st air box, it'l sound like a beast let me know what you think, cost you nothing too!

il go and try it now and post back...

edit: maybe not, pouring down! il try in the morning...

how come this makes a difference? what does it change like?

this is b****cks even takin off whole air box and everything still sounds the same!!! i put an induction kit on mine made no difference at all!!!! was a universal piece of s**t but still!!!! only way to get good sound from 1.2 is exhaust.

hmm i know someone with a 2005 1.2 8v with a k&n IK and stand. exhaust, its loud as anything, what IK did you have on yours?

trust me, try what i said. mines a 1.4, makes a beast of a sound. to be honest shouldnt mattter of the size of engine. just take the cold air feed off the box. and induction kit is basically an air filter thats out in the open, so if you remove the cold air feed, your allowing the airbox to become an induction kit (soundwise) try it, if it doesnt work for you, then let me know!and then may as well go for a proper induction kit. but this will save you wasting your money!
