205/45/16 on 172

  996 Carrera

Anyone running these? Or 205/40/16?

Thought Id try them next since the 182 runs on them.

Id like a bit more traction, esp. round corners. Just dont want to wreck steering feel, turn-in etc. in the process.

Seeing as how the handling on the 182 has been highly praised then I dont think the 205s are gonna cause a problem... ;)

  TDI tyre shreader

i was looking at this the other day when i was at work, the wheels certainly look like they can take it cos the tyre sidewalls do this /.....\ thought they were over inflated at first but they wernt.

Youll find the 195 contis are very thin for a 195 anyway, so a normal tyre will fill the wheel out more anyway.

However, yes 205s wont harm anything.

Im currently using BS RE-01 205/45/16 wihtout any problem. One thing, I cannot loader the front much or else, it will touch the mud guard.

I have a spare Yokohama A038 SS compound 205/50/16 :>
