205 50 15 on 172 Cup?

Anybody used Toyo R888 205 50 15 on a 172 Cup? Currently 195 50 15, just worried they will rub or foul the arches?

Running OZ F1 rims & Eibach springs so slightly lower than standard.

Any experiences appreciated before I shell out on new tyres.

Oz f1 rims are et43 I think, so should be ok to run 205 tyres

Yeah I run on them and they only catch due to et35 15's. They touch on the inner part of the rear arch tub, but that's under full compression. Other than that there's the front end where they all catch mate. Good performance though so I'll accept a compromise.

My car is very low though so on eibachs you'll be fine I imagine.

Cheers guys, figured they'd be OK & I seem to recall Dan Trotman used to run them when he had his Cup

Mine touched ever so slightly on the rear arch where my rear quarter is pushed in with et38 wheels

Mine on the back with ET35 and 7.5mm spacers are ok with approx 1.8deg. camber

Well I've agreed the deal now so no going back lol!

I guess if they did rub I could use spacers?

Yes, I did and do...all my wheels are et35 or et37

Looks like my OZ F1's are ET 43 - should they be Ok?

Don't want to shell out getting them fitted to find they won't be!
