215/50/15 r888's will they fit

  182
i have been searching through threads but can't find a definitive answer. I am aware that they will fit my wheels 6.5j but wanting to know if they will fit my 182 which is lowered on cooksports without any rubbing.

Please could someone in the know let me know?

I'd say that's mostly dependent by the offset of the wheels. 215/50 do sound quite meaty to me but has a pretty much dead on circumference compared to the 195/55 I have on my OE 15" OZ F1 and they fit fine!

Do you know your wheels' offset?

It's not that I want them it's the fact I can get them at a really good price but don't want to buy them. Fit them and then have to take them off and flog them buddy

Chances are it may rub. Are these going to be an allrounder? The ns2rs are aparantly great. I went with 205's in the federalls

Yes all rounder buddy. Funnily enough those were the two cheaper options that I was looking at and leaning towards the Fed's. These just came up and I thought for a little bit more I would be foolish not to consider.

Basically my car is the weekend toy. Building a fast road spec car that I am looking to track occasionally. I have never tracked a 182 yet and tyres are this pay packets purchase.

I currently have 15's with winter tyres on and another cheap set of 15's that need tyres for sunny days and some track use.

I have sorted brand new suspension, oil, filter, strut braces.

And want to sort out some ds2500's oil and tyres before I venture out on track.

The more I think about it I think I am better off not taking the risk but I thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone had ran them.

I would go for the Feds or the ns2rs. Tyreleaders were the cheapest for the nankangs but I'd heard mixed reviews about the company, although people on here have ordered recently with no drama. The 888's are a decent tyre, I just weighed up what I needed. Which was a very good allrounder. If I was to get dedicated track tyres it would be a set of 15's with slicks for dry days.

Oh and 215 would they not be too much on a 6.5 rim

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say not to get the R888s. The NS-2Rs are a superb tyre from what I have seen on one of my cars even in the Street compound. If the rumours are true they should not give up quite so easily on the track either like the R888s. The R888s possibly have the outright grip by a small margin but that is about it :). Maybe I am bitter due to me overheating a set on a stock powered 205 GTi at the 'ring GT circuit.

Went for the ns2r's in the end in 195/55/15

Just waiting for the wheels to get blasted and powder coated and they will be on for the weekend!

Appreciate the advice guys.
