lol it is loud on the induction side, funnily enough i was just on my wa to by a 172 so maybe the mini has spat its dummy out as theres another kid on the blockYou and this monster came past me while I was cycling down the chevin the other day, I wont lie i s**t my pants. It sounds absolutely mental. Sorry to see its broken.
Awesome setup fella and about the perfect output to make it an utter weapon. What sort of weight is this car? Turbocharging a mini like this would be great on paper but s**t elsewhere regardless of what control you have on the engine. Mine was running a 16v A series turbo and it was s**t it all gears. 10" rubber didn't help it I suppose but de-tuned it was brilliant. I was developing an engine with morspeed that at full boost would be 330hp. At nearly 700hp/ton it would have been bonkers but complete crap. Still to this day I've never been around corners anywhere near the speed a miglia can. I'm planning on putting a lynx ae bike kit in the front of mine now as its not too over the top and in a 500kg fwd car, 150-60hp is enough.
Surely its quick enough without all the mods.
My Mates mental thing if he still has it! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151259490954686
Believe it not not but when driving normally it's actually not as loud as you'd think, it's only when you unleash those 48mm itb's at 9k that it seriously starts to singOk dude, seriously how do you still have your hearing!?! lol
I love it mate, always have - really need to come for that cup of tea still!
You can take the mini for a spin on your own mate I'm to much of a bad passenger I'd be screaming like a girl lolA cuppa and a spin in the mini sounds good![]()
Damn!
Any pics of the process?
The first time I built it was 3 years before hand and it wasn't bad at all but with over 5 times the power the car was designed for it didn't like it and had started to split some of the welds that hadn't been done so well ( not by us) the car wasn't as bad as I'm making it sound but I had the opertunity of the garage and the facilities so decided to take advantage of it and went to town on it.Looks stunning! Well done.
But it begs the question; didnt you/previous owner/whoever built it think to check for rot before starting all the work first time round??
