Got an email at 14:04 to day they were being delivered on 21st August.

14:08 email to cancel!

Well that's my new shop "hard drivez r us" up in smoke already!

stuff like this rarely works.

gets a bit obvious to them when about 300 people all order them at same time and link backs from various forums stating the pricing error!
 
There probably isnt any stock left due to the Dell staff all buying them...

thats what happens at PC World anyway :eek:

As there explanation states that the item "is completely different" for the order.

So in effect everyone should be refunded and have order canceled.

Last email was a revised delivery date of the 28th Aug.

Dear Mr Embleton

Our system was operating on the basis that the orders taken were orders
for the other product, which is in stock. This is why some people
received delivery dates.

As previously indicated the product in question was discontinued and so
it is not possible to supply it. We have fulfilled orders for other
different HDD's at correct prices and we understand that some customers
may have become confused by this.

We assure you that no order for this product has been fulfilled, as the
product is no longer available
