2nd gear lagging??

just took my 182 for a spin and it feels like it lags in 2nd,... foot down (in 2nd) nothing..nothing..nothing then off we go. lots of power! is this normol???

???, im sure my car never used 2 be like it, i no its got more revs which gives it more boost, but i used 2 get a big boost from the second i floored it., now it seems i have to wait a bit...strange

Hmm i'm not an expert or know anything from cars apart from what i've learnt by fettling and being in here and my amazing mecanically minded mind.... but i'd atleast look at this.

it's the bit where the black L bend goes into the engine

just unclip it and look in there, it's the part that opens up when you press the accelerator.

The part infront of the coolant bottle, is only held on by a circlip, if you switch the ignition on and get someone to press the accelerator you'll see it open/close.
