3 beeps when locking car?

On my 172 every now and then i hear 3 beeps when i lock the car with the key fob, anyone know what it means, if not il have a good old read of the handbook!

It's something to do with the alarm thinking the ignitions on if you lock the car quickly after turning the engine off. Theres lots on here about it. Mine does it too, but I don't think it actually matters unless it really annoys you. It can be cured somehow but I don't know how.

Wait a few seconds after shutting the door before pressing the button on the key fob and it more than likely won't beep.
