3 red lights on my Xbox again tonight - fixed

Yes the good old towel worked yet again on my xbox.

I've seen the 3 red-lights problem being fixed through
heat, exactly the same heat/breathing problem as what people believe causes the 3 red-lights.

I believe its when the xbox gets cold and contracts and the solder cracks fractionally.

Well mine is always kept warm thanks to the Wii and PS3 so i'm yet to have any probs but I wouldn't be surpsied if its temperature related

The other way to get round it is to have one of those cooler things on all the time at the back pumping cold air in. But apparently the 2nd gen systems are better. I took mine back to HMV yesterday and the guy said he has had loads back but the one he was swapping it to they have yet to have any back so fingers crossed. Bought one of those cooler things anyway...We shall see.

about an hour tbh or even longer - but u might have success after 30mins.

Not always a perm solution but mine is well out of warranty so nothing to lose tbh. I have had to do it once a month? depends on the temp.

If yours is under warranty then i'd send it back.

Yep, M$ used cheap metals in the solder = lots of dead 360's

Well I decided to try this on my buggered 360 this morning while my other one is with MS being "fixed".....20mins later working fine! woohoo! I now have 2 360's! lol
