36,000 mile service, 172 cup

hi there!

what are peoples opinions on this? where would you say is best to get it done.

i have a few options

Kitchens Renault in burnley being one.

My friend who is a fully qualified mechanic for ford. He said all the things like 5 by 10 oil etc will be free, he can do the service light and all that capper. Said all i would have to buy is filters (oil etc)

Specilaist garage

What would you guys recommend. Renault say they strip the brakes down and stuff and clean them fully out, my mate says thats bullshit, they will barely check them, any sense in paying £350 to renault when my mate could do it?

Service light comes on when there a problem not when the car needs servicing.

5-40 oil is the popular stuff.

No way its worth £350 £250 at most realy show round I'd use Renault least till your warently is up unless your mate car stamp the book as well.

Your mates right about the brakes . They'll do a visual check , if the pads or discs look a bit worn they tell you thats another £300 , lol .

do you do all of that in the list edde provided?

what about the Aux belt?

its uber easy on 172 cups, take minutes to do the aux belt

we're near stafford (junc 14/15 M6)

as your in Accrinton, why not go to specialist breakers???

thought it was just a breakers. how compitant are they, obvisouly matt black comes on here and stuff but you never know....

they're all ex main dealer technicians, very good, make sure you only deal with Matt though

We use elastic bands for the timing belts and cookies for auxilary pullies ...... well we are a breakers after all
