I'm pretty interested in what the XNA Game Studio Express is...

Perhaps it's the software that will allow user created content for marketplace like they always said ??

Video streaming from USB drives also sounds pretty good.

s**t how much that setting you back???

taken from xbox.com (not really useful just confirmation)

XNA Game Studio Express: Wow, we're chock full of new stuff these days, aren't we? Finally we come to XNA Game Studio Express, a way for all you budding game developers to create games for Xbox 360. You'll be able to access these games through the old Demos button, which has been relabeled, surprisingly enough, to Demos and More.

I thought only the Pioneer 50" was the only true 1080p set on the market at the moment and thats £6K

no no there are a few out now alot cheeper than that

the trouble is nearly all of them wont do 1080p with the 360

the only one i know of that will is a goodmans tv !!!!

  Fabia vRS
i can use 1080p with my dell 24", so i shall be taking advantage of that when i get my 360, which might be today :D

i have been in conversation a lot with sony over the 1080p issue i'm having with my pc being run through it, it appears that no sony tv's on the market this year will support 1080 resolutions through a vga cable. 1080p can be achieved through component or hdmi. this would lead me to believe that it all depends ont he tv you have. it seems most vga ports on tvs will only run 720p max.

yes but the problem comes with hdcp as component doesnt support hdcp therfor if they do decide to use hdcp it will just scale it down to a standard definition image (applies to hddvd mainly )

For the x360? You can't convert component to HDMI (not while keeping it digital all the way), so unless you buy a new-style xbox with an hdmi port, you're stuffed.

Happy xmas! ;)

Just downloaded the update. The XBox Live arcade games list is instant now, the button have been changed and it's all a little quicker which is cool.

Going to try the WMV support when I get a minute.

ms have said they wont release one (but they may change their minds) tbh there is no real reason why they cant release a hdmi cable as far as im aware the ati chip will support it

so just to clarify, the problem is that component doesn't support hdcp, so will downscale back to what? regular dvd quality 526 or whatever? surely this isn't tv dependant anyway? i can't see how this can be true though if the vga port won't support 1080 either...whats the point in a1080 update when you can't watch it through anything that supports it...

david yup hd dvd will downscale back to 526 if its not connected to a hdcp compliant device by a hdcp compliant connection method

yes it sux ms were saying tho that they dont think anyone will impliment the downscaling of content tho if its not connected by a hdcp compliant method
