3k+ idle ph2 172

hello, i've recently converted my little 1.2 into a 172 and im happy to say it is nearly complete... i started it up and it rev's to 3000 rpm and sits there even if i push the clutch in? reading through i have seen that idle control valve could be the problem or air temperture sensor, im wondering if the ecu has to get used to the new de cat pipe it has fitted on it? would this make the car idle high and rich?

any suggestions, pictures would be greatly appreciated many thanks

sounds like an air leak somewhere tbh, check your inlet manifold is seated correctly and check all your vacuum pipes are connected and are not split.

If it's the phase 2 setup you've got you do not have an idle control valve - your electronic throttle body does the job of that.
