What a day!!! stripped down both of my F4R turbo engines earlier, why both i hear you ask?? Well after removing the head on the first engine (F4R767) i found this

yup, 1 fucked piston, it had taken the block with it too :( (lucky there was no other damage to any other parts, and i happen to have a spare turbo block so i can build up a second engine and flog it)
(below you can see 2 turbo heads and a turbo crank)

so then i stripped down the second engine (F4R760) luckly this one is mint

yeah tell me about it!! those engines have done a UK tour over the past 2-3years, and i've only just stripped them!!! LOL oh well!!

did you know the piston was shagged? or was it working adn you just found out when you took the head off?!

no i had no idea it was shagged, i bought the engines years ago, they were early test engines form 2000/2001, luck of the draw that one of them was fucked!!

both engines are non VVT 165bhp vel satis/megane sport engines, but have a few trick development parts on them (pistons for example)

i'm using the TD04 turbo and manifold from the Meggy RS 225, plus OMEX ECU

and i'm halfway through building my own inlet manifold which will utilise a Jenevy ETCC spec 64mm TB

should be good enough for over 250bhp
