They are one hell of a special car. Sadly has grip>grunt, it's actually quite similar to driving a fwd lotus élan in a lot of ways. Bags and bags of grip, but not much adjustability and very frustrating if caught behind a dawdled on a decent road.
I read it's good because it has adjustability and you know what it's gojing to do.

Again to be fair you need to be a r****d to bin it in the dry imo.

Nice little motors. It's good to have something a bit different.

Isn't it right that the calipers aren't dust sealed so they have to be rebuilt after every journey to the shops?
Flol!

Yearly rebuild mate, the brakes are worth it tho!

Like you say it's nice owning something different.

Crap when someone asks what's the difference between that one and the old one.

Erm just the colour mate...

Nice car. I guess it's kinda on the same level of desirability as the V6 - rare, unique and slow!

I'd have the FRP over the V6, I reckon.

You won't lose any money on these that's one thing.

I can't believe what I got for £4800! What a car imo.

Funnily enough it wasn't till long ago I talked myself back into one.

I had decide it was a bad idea as it's very rare and not ideal for a daily driver!

I was wrong and so glad I talked myself into it!

I see you own it's rival tho!

haha i do, the puma is defo on my list id love to go test drive one but would hate to waste peoples time. how do they respond to mods? how much to get them to 200 brake? i think that would make them spot on.

Ah that old question.

Major mods similar to the F4R engine. Scharge Tcharge is the only way to get mega power. Engine transplant also.

It's more about handling than straight line speed.

Also on a day that autocar tested an S3 and a Subaru P1 it came out on top according to them.

A little indication of how quick it goes round corners... The lowest powered car on the day...

Lap times of Pembrey:

DC2 Integra Type R - 1 min 15.48
PH1 Clio 172 - 1 min 15.40
Racing Puma - 1 min 13.75...

;)

I've always thought of the FRP to be a bit like an Elise, not a hue amount of power, but handles really well etc. Not all cars about straight line
