4k rattle issue

What's the deal with the 4k rattle?

I've searched a few threads and bumped another with no joy.

My does it really loud and tinny at 4k through 2nd especially.

IS this a warranty replaceable part? My car has 7 months of warranty left.

Would they try and tell me it's wear and tear?

How do I tell them it is a warranty issue?

I was going to get a s/s cat back but can't afford it right now and the rattle is awful.

Try get it done on warently as its a manurfacturing failure but you'll probaly have to pay yourself. Its a new exhaust mid section you need. Exhausts arn't included on the warently as as you sid its wear and tear.
A stainless steel cat back will solve the problem.

It should be covered under warranty.

Exhaust warranty is only valid for 12 months not the usual 3 years on other parts.
Only way to sure it is by buying a new centre section i'm afraid.

I still have the 4k rattle and have just had new cat and stainless steel cat back....only the manifold left to change now and i reckon its not that on mine. they should put the 4k rattle in the spec seeing as most clios have it!!
