My step dad hit a builders bucket that had some tools in at around 70 in his XK8, needed a bottom grill and it cracked the gearbox casing.

yep exactly

was only going about 2 mph max. was in a jam, traffic moved then suddenly stopped, bang

its totally my fault, i have my mind of adam (my son), talking to him in the back not driving.

lesson learnt. Hopefully wont be too expensive, will get pics up later.

other car has no damage so thats a bonus.

and the main thing, no one was hurt

Just seen this! Gutted for you Sarah! but glad you are both ok! As said, could have been worse as you could have been hurt. These bonnets crumple like tin foil! :dapprove: Hope you get it sorted soon and that it doesn't cost the earth hun!

You havnt had an accident like that in ages have ya, uve only had little dings.....suprised the bonnet is in such good condition tbh, i sat on mine in a rage a few months back and put a big dent in it lol luckily got it sorted pretty quick and it wasnt expensive but still, i was shocked at how easy it was to dent! either that or i have a big fat arse!! hehe
