500GB USB Powered HDD

Definitely a bargain ... will have to see if they've got them in store too! Whilst I back my data up to my NAS, must admit I'd like to be able to do a full bootable drive image of my MBP regularly, and doing that over the network would take just too long.

Daft question but does this sync when you connect it up. We had one at work that would update selected folders if new items were on

Chris

Curious to this though Chris, do you just plug in said HDD at your work and it syncs? You don't need to do it through a program?

I think there is a program on the HDD when you get it...now my boss has his pics and documents set up and at the end of the week he plugs it in and it adds the new files..pretty good and nice and simple

Chris

Ah so it comes on the HDD. I'll go research this, cheers Chris.

EDIT: Hmm, seems the HDD has to be formatted to FAT32 before MS SYNC works.

Which I'm assuming the HDD will be already...

But if it's NTFS then this:

Should work. Should.

Yep some of the western digital discs come with it on, I know mine did

Lol mine is still FAT32. I sometimes use it on my dad's WD HD TV player thing. Think it needs to be FAT32 for it to read it.
