much appreciated if this can be kept on topic etc.

Basically I need the following:

1: 2 x outer cv gaiter for the driveshaft

2: 2 x rear brake discs

3: Rear brake pads

4: A new cat.

can anyone provide me with a link where i can order these parts from, but NOT from renault, as they charge a ridiculous rates.

any help will be VERY very much appreciated

cheers,

I normally try to upgrade when replacing parts they are genrally cheaper still than renault parts.

For example you could get a sports cat from ktec for much cheaper than a renault replacement.

I had a an advisory on mine yesterday for that.

Had a quick chat with the guys from Rentech and it seems GSF is the best place for a replacement.

There is also Cliospares (now four ashes renault specialists near Wolverhampton). www.cliospares.co.uk

If you're from the W.mids, they can get genuine renault items a few pounds cheaper than the stealers!

When you get the rear brake discs , make sure they have the abs ring and already have the wheel bearing pressed in , or you'll have to get your old ones pressed out and put in the new discs .

They are expensive where ever you buy them from , alot more than the front discs . Yozzasport is probably as cheap as you'll get , everthing included , abs rings , bearings .

first post but thought i would add my 2p.

i replaced the rear discs last weekend,
discs from gsf were about £50
wheel bearings were £20 each from the local motor factor.
cost me £20 notes to have the new bearings pressed in (this was the most expensive bit as it took the fella all of 10 minutes to releave me of the cash)
new pads from halfords (ferodo) £14
the abs rings surpriseinly came off the old discs easily enough with the aid of a chisel type of punch..
the most straight forward part is actually fitting the things as per fubar on here.

i have recently done cv boots too wernt that dear but you need to buy a cone to fit them, and its still a pig of a job.

dunno about the cats but i would of thought that the exhaust just bolts together.
