6.5" comps up front

How do you get 6.5" speakers in the standard front speaker locations, i presume with MDF spacers, has anyone got any pics or the specs of what they made them to?

Any help would be great.

some one off here fitted them into the mk2 doors , used MDF spacers . i tried but couldnt get them to fit properly so used 5 1/4 inch

I know this may be off topic slightly, but regarding the wooden spacers does this make a difference to the sound as the speaker is mounted more rigidly than it is when screwed straight into the plastic door card ?
