6x9 or Sub or V.Expensive 13cm Speaker

Hi all,

Getting back into a 182. My last one had:

Infinity 6x9 on Rear Shelf (Powered by Sony 222 Watt Amp)

Infinity 13cm Co Axial Spkr all round

Sony CDFX7500 MP3 Head Unit

I still have everything, but Im wondering if I can change anything in the setup to make it better?

leave out the 6x9s and bung in a 10" or 12" sub. May need an amp if the sub is too powerfulk for the amp youv got

spend on a decent 10 or 12 plus a decent amp, use the sony to power a pair of half decent comps

fit the infinity co-axials in the rear of the car and purchase some new components (maybe infinity reference series - if ur happy with the sound of the co-axials) to go in the front of the vehicle. Purchase a 4 channel amp to run the four speakers and use the existing amp to drive a 8" or 10" sub in a sealed enclosure...thisll sound fantastic for not a lot more of outlay...ur existing sony headunit will have no problem with supplying the three signals (front, back and subwoofer) to the 2 amps as it is equipped with 3 preouts.

thats all well and good but get rid of the head unit too! Sonys are w**k. Go for pioneer, you can get their 8400mp for £250 now
