8.2mpg when nailing the 182....

  172 Cup, AX trackbeast.
Nope its very accurate 8mpg sounds realistic.

Trip is very accurate it based in fuel injection level from the ecu
can be done if you want to really save petrol! it is almost getting into diesel levels! fookin 2 litre sports car!
But drive a diesel like that you'll be over 60ish.

Realistic???

I highly doubt that, it also says that ive got 400 miles to a tank once filled it to the gunnels, Ive yet to see that happen.

Before car manufacturers release cars they drive them at 56mph with all the windows up, no one but the driver and a can of coke worth of petrol/diesel just so they can print attractive looking economy numbers in there fancy looking brochures.

I have to be honest these economy threads drive me mental.

Clio 172/182/197's were never designed with economy in mind, there supposed to get s**t fuel economy.

People that complain are better with diesels!:sleepy:

I got 401 miles out of a full tank going up to Elgin, 2 up with a boot full of clobber!

the fuel aueg regards level isn't that accurate hency the the readout stops with what should be 1 gallon onboard.

car manurfactuers have to test there cars all the same way there nothing intrinsically wrong with there testing or publisted figures.

The trip nope I've tested it before now and it was some 0.5% inacurate vs what had gone in the tank and that could be neglected

as for the mpg the manurfacturers sell yep they can be bad but thats because we don't drive the cars or have them all with brand new sensors etc.

i drove from near wolverhampton to manchester last night, steady 70 all the way there once on the motorway, 97 mile trip from home to the hotel. i flicked through the computer when i got to the hotel and average was 46.2mpg, bearing in mind that i'd already done 30 miles of short trips in it. i don't think that is too bad.

i am now deaf though due to a very noisy exhaust.
