Im looking at getting a small boxed sub for my cup.
Im not into blasting out choons through the high street but am after a sub that will sound tight and be able to keep up with my different music tastes.
I was thinking a 8 or 10 inch..
Wot do people think?
Thanks iain

i'd say a nice 10 in a small sealed box with a fair bit of power would suit 95% of all music

The smaller a sub the more punchier and faster it responds generally the bigger it is the slower it is but it will generally drop to lower frequencies.

Thats the basics but there are a few exceptions but meh. I have an 8 on my home system and it just doesnt have the same level it cant get as deep bass notes the same bits just dont seem to be there.

Mate, go get yourself either a 10" SX from REaudio on Caraudiodirect.co.uk or an 8" RE unit... They kick backside!!!

Dude get yourself a 10", they can handle all music! If you dont want to blast it get max of 400w - will still hit you in the back ;)

JL Audio 10w3v2 is what I've heard a lot of and they are nice and tight but still drop quite nicely - they are capable of handling about 500wrms each as well, enough to keep you amused!
