Hey, this is my first attempt at taking photos of my car, I have never tried anything like this before (not just with cars) but thought i would give it a go. Ended up finding it really good fun and can see how it could become a bit addictive!!

Anyway I didn't get to many good pics (think a tripod would have helped alot), but here are the ones i think are good :approve:, but obviously they could be alot better so please have a look and let me know what you think! All comments welcome and any advice/tips would be much appreciated.

ps. i know the car could be a little cleaner and i am in the process of getting a splitter!

Think i need to learn to use photoshop now, to tidy the pics up and maybe get rid of some of the tracks in the snow?

I'll have to keep an eye out for you in Chester mate.
Lovely shots, a tripod would of helped alot, but practice makes perfect...

Why not read up on Night photography, and learn about exposure times etc?
There's always good features in the monthly mags.

I'm only in Chester for a few more days, heading back to Leicester Monday/Tuesday I think, but keep an eye out as I will be out and about :)

Like I said before I really enjoyed it so I think I may start reading and learning more about photography in general (I don't even own a camera, borrowed this one off my sister!)

I just messed about with the shutter speed and let the camera sort everything else out!

Can you suggest which mag is best and what sort of equipment I should get as a complete beginner?

Ahh cool, I'm in Uni in Chester doing Photography :approve:

There are tons of mags out there, but Amateur Photographer, Digital Photographer etc should suit you more. Saying that, they're all useful!

Does anyone know any good photoshop style programs that are free to download. I wanna have a go at getting rid of some of the tyre tracks in the snow etc...
