A fun morning removing knackered paint protection!

Well I wasnt looking forward to the workload on this car- but I do love vees so much-

This is the prep list of work-

Replace ALL 4 tyres- running on 1mm all round- & all the non OEM size- Replace all with Pilot sport.
Refubish ALL 4 Alloys
A/C regas
New mats
Rear Brake Pads
MOT
4 Wheel Allignment

& sort out the paint- especially the front end-

This car had the old armourfend ( IIRC?) & with age ( only a 5 plate ) the edges have become loose on all the bonnet & wings-

I was hoping that my 75p Hairdryer could work its magic!

During removal-!

should the paint be as new underneath that coating?

Its worked-

All it left was a line which wiped away- the key as with all stickers is to get the glue soft so it all peels away!

the paint underneath is as new- apart from one or 2 chips that peirced the film & the paint-

All that is needed is one run over with the rotary to bring the paint up to final finish-

The last strip of film took a lump of paint off the bottom of the bumper-C**T

Will have to get the base of the bumper done

My only gripe about the armourfend on mine is that the edges collect dirt as illustrated in your pics Steve. Glad it came off without too much trouble bar the bumper.
