A New Inferno Orange Owner!

  172
Morning all,
This is my first post, I picked up this little beauty of a 182 at the weekend in the fabulous inferno orange!

Full service history
72000 miles
Body is immaculate
It has a few subtle mods! It also has what looks like a different inelt Manifold, I’ll post a photo when I can, any 182 gurus out there will hopefully be able to shed some light on the make etc ☺️
I’m in the Hampshire area so give me a flash if you see me

Luke

Keep the inlet, it should be running 190hp+

Does it feel quick?
It feels kind of sluggish at the moment, I think it will benefit more with a remap, it has a air filter which I think it causing a lot of heat soak and feels like it's slowing me, I'll probably put the standard air box back on with a decent panel filter!

Looking good mate. Yes, keep the inlet, were rather expensive and limited numbers sold.

Where in Hampshire?

Sadly no mappers down this way, but there are Engine Dynamics of EFI who are popular.

Im in Fareham, quite a few of us on the South Coast.

I was thinking of RS tuning, she needs a service first, it’s only done 8000 Miles since the beginning of last year!

I've seen RSTuning get a few negative reviews over the last year or so. If I was willing to travel that far, it would be EFI I think. You've got a good Renault specialist in Portsmouth by the way, for servicing and maintenance etc.

I dont think it will drive well at all without a map then, im surprised it drives at all without even a base map?

Ahh okay thanks dude I’ll check out EFI! First thing is a service, only on 72k so don’t want to ruin her before she gets mapped!

It’s possible it has a base map but the previous owner said it didn’t! It drives fine, just feels a little sluggish Low down in the revs, I know the power band is like at 5k but she feels very sluggish before then, will get a map done soon!

  dan's cast offs.
Chris at efi has mapped about 10 with the same inlet. Mine was the first one he did tjat made good power as well.

  dan's cast offs.
first time round standard engine, epas, ac delete, pms manifold back exhaust and it made 201bhp.

then with cams, billet flywheel and 182 manifold it did around 208bhp.
