A pattern emerging?

Well in 2002 I bought a 1.6 205gti:

In 2004 I bought a brand new 182:

Then sold on the pug...

Then in late 2007 I bought a 1.9 205gti:

Then sold on the 182...

Then in Feb 2008 I got my first mortgage :boring:

But now I'm back, pick this up next weekend (cheers Ali!):

Can't be arsed changing my name, plus someone has already stolen rory172

What will it be next I wonder? See how the credit crunch goes!

And if anyones interested in a phase 1.5 1.9 gti with 62k miles on it, you know where I am

It's a bit of a restoration job tbh, have spent a fair bit on it - Fresh speedlines, all refurbed, pe2s all round, new discs n pads all round, timing belt and water pump. Been utterly reliable only let me down once in 14 months as a daily driver when the gear linkage rods popped off - which have been replaced!

Will be advertised when it's tidied up a bit more and it'll be advertised around £2500 - only about to hit 62k miles.

You're right, the gti handles far better and the seating position is much better but the lack of toys has started to annoy me! lol

However what I must ask is why you bought a brand new 182 without cup packs?

anthracite wheels on a blue car look awful imo and tbh the lack of cup packs never made any difference to me, was still at the front of the pack on all driving meets.

Cheers, I did a 3 day roadtrip in the 182 before it went so that's prob what you remember!

Aye I'll get my plate onto it asap and get on some meets and road trips and get some pics from around the Highlands.

54k on it, but it pulls really well - well run in I'd say. Quite urgent in 2nd and 3rd like I remember from the 182.

It's not immaculate but give me time...
