A Q for DVD burner experts!! Im pulling my hair out here!!

Right, dvd shrink wont recognise my dvd burner. when asked with what device to burn the film to disk, only the "HD" and "image recorder" are in the drop down box.............. just put a new pioneer 111D burner in and the new firmware is installed.

I cant backup any of my discs coz of this...........

Do you have the jumpers set correctly on the dvd?

Primary/master on dvdr

Secondary/slave on dvd/cd.

Or vice versa so long as they are not both set to the same.

A jumper is a little plastic thing on the back that bridges metal pins on the dvd. Pull it back out and you'll see it.
