A warning about Orange's Free Laptop BB deal.

My current GF has signed up for Orange for 18 months @ £15 per month.

As part of the deal, she's got a free £300 laptop (picked up from PC world today).


Due to such high demand, PC world are VERY low on stock, so much so that some Orange BB customers will be disappointed to find that there's no "free" laptops left.

Furthermore, due to such high demand there will most certainly be NO replacement laptops available should your "free" laptop be faulty.

We've discovered this today, because there are dead pixels on the screen. No replacement available.

The good news is, PC world will offer you £300 towards any other laptop or your choice... so it might work out better for those of you who don't want the "free" model.

tbh i'd put the £300 towards a better spec laptop anyway.

Still its not a bad offer shame the laptops faulty but least its £300 towards a better speced one.

you don't have to have the free one anyway, you can have £300 towards another one, at least you can at currys and as its the same group i can't see why it wouldn't be the same.

Isn't the BB deal a 24 month contract?

That's a long time to wait if you want to bail out and swap providers.

^^ and you will because the orange customer services is disgustingly bad, broadband is slow, and you pay £15 pm for it. Why? I switched to sky, nothing per month, and it is faster and never dropped out!
