Going to get AG SRP, EGP and Glass Cleaner from halfrueds because i need to get afew other bits.

Anyone got any thoughts on what i should use for the alloys and tyre dressings?

Alloys can also wear SRP and EGP, maybe get the Poorboys Wheel Sealant to top them.

Tyre Dressing wise - from Clean Your Car ? - Poorboys Bold and Bright, if prepared to order elsewhere Blackfire Deep Gloss Gel.

I bought the cheapo wax applicators from clean your car, the are utter s**t. Dont be a skimp, pay the extra and get the meguirs ones.

I bought the cheapo wax applicators from clean your car, the are utter s**t. Dont be a skimp, pay the extra and get the meguirs ones.

I disagree, all seem pretty much the same to me. But as the difference in price is minimal buy the Megs one if it makes you feel happier!

the edges on them fail, and the foam feels like dried grass.

The meguirs ones are much better, ive used both.

So have I! Both apply the wax, neither mark the paint. As for edges failing I have some which are a couple of years old, but they are so cheap I tend to use new ones when doing a car anyway.

The Megs Yellow ones are slightly larger but I also have lots of the non branded ones that are 4 plus years old and still fine, no failing edges, no marring from them, there foam is slightly firmer/denser than the Megs ones but that is no bad thing. Nothing wrong with them.

yeah personally think megs ones are better for applying things like srp and egp, but the cyc ones are better for applying waxes as the pad doesnt seem to need to be loaded as much.

I only use foam pads for wax, I use microfibre applicators or machine pads for polishes, sealants and glazes.

I've got loads of MF ones and Foam ones. Both for different purposes.
