ABS coming on too often

Ive noticed that the ABS on my williams wont come on under harsh braking until needed when going in a straight line...

but if I turn the wheel when braking hard it comes on nearly every time.

Anyone know if this is a characteristic of ABS that it comes on more readily if the wheels arent straight?

( and before anyone gets on thier high horse about doing all your braking in a straight line, I know I normally do)

Im guessing that when the wheels are turned they might be more inclined to skid which is detected by the ABS which kicks in

If it becomes sensitive when cornering it may be due to the weight transfer and the difference in speed of the 2 front wheels. Does it happen on left and right bends?

The ABS moniters front left and right seperately and the rears together.

If there is a difference in front road wheel speeds when the brake is pressed the ABS may cut in.

Not explained this very well but I think you should get the jist of it!
