abs sensor

  phase 1 flamer 172
IVE managed to break my nearside rear abs sensor, tried to get one from my local renault dealer to be told will have to come from france, now i normally run older cars and have no experience with abs, the light on the dash is on, can i drive it or not, thanks.

Yes u can drive the car, the Hydraulic side of the brakes will function as normal. You just wont have Anti-lock braking in thee event of having to hit the brake hard, the car will skid.

Cheers, thats what im used to so no problem.

Didnt think anyone on here would know what one was, sold my last one 2 years ago, after owning several over the last 40 years.(all modified of course)

Be careful as the braking force will be split 50:50 between the front and rear so if you brake hard there is a high chance rear will lock up before the front.

Thanks for the warning, i dont use it on a daily basis, never goes out in the rain so should be fine.
