ABS Speed Sensor - Which Hub ?

Hey guys,
Does anyone know which hub the speed sensor for the speedo is located on ? I've seen from other posts its the N/S but they don't mention if its front or rear.

The ABS ECU reads the speed from one of the ABS sensors, i need to know which hub that specific sensor is located in.

05 182. No problem, i've just removed the front ABS sensors and if i can get away with just 1 ABS sensor (the one that is also the speedo sensor), then i don't need to fork out for new ABS sensors.

I'm in the process of building a track car so, yes i will be running without ABS. I've removed the ABS pump, not realising that the ABS ECU is part of the ABS pump which is needed for the speedo so i need to reinstate the ABS pump to get my speedo working again.

weld some pick up points on the os inner cv/cup and run a sensor from there to the signal wire on the speedo.

Surely the speedo would need to be configurable to utilize a 3rd party sesnor ?

Do you know if you can utilize the teeth on the ABS rings ?

suppose you could use the ring itself but you'd have to grind a load of the teeth out.

Sounds like a lot more work than just reinstating the ABS pump and a couple of ABS sensors but thanks for the suggestion.

This video seems to suggest its on the front hubs as the speedo jumps when he launches it. The speed also doesn't increase as he is wheel spinning.

pick up points in the o/s inner cv cup and sensor is going to be a lot easier than messing round with the abs pump/ecu etc.
