ohhh i really didnt like this colour but it looks miles better in these pics you can see the metallic in it where other pics it looks flat hope i get to see one in the flesh

This is the old Platinum Trowbridge demonstrator, I'm absolutely sure of it. Sat on their forecourt for about 6 months and hardly ever seemed to move.

The "Never been tracked" bit is confusing me though, as the guy who went on to buy that car came down to the airfield last year (it was on a private plate), there is no way on earth there are two Acid Green Vee's with Platinum stickers in the same place on the back window.

I think the seller is/was a member on here, if not he's prob on the v6clio site.

- edit, wait till Deb sees this thread ;)

Hehe, I was slow with this thread! I'm soo tempted to buy this if it's still up for sale when I get back from holiday. I've always had my heart set on liquid yellow, but seeing the pics of acid I'm not so sure now!

The price does seem quite steep for the age to me though, or is that about the right price?

I don't understand why people even bother putting "never been tracked" on any ad - theres nothing to prove it either way, it just seems a bit of a guilty comment whenever I see it..

not that it matters anyway, i'm sure most renaultsports have had their fair share of thrashing - mine does anyway :p at least its not the same thrashing a corsa would get, the mcdonalds tray wheelspinning everywhere kind

^^Agree with the comment about people saying never been tracked - as soon as I read this I think 'hmm, sounds guilty, why put that unless it HAS been tracked' lol. Not that I'd be too worried as long as it's been well looked after and maintained etc.

still way way over priced!

sorry but just cant get over the fact that someone thinks £20k is a fair price for a near 2.5 - 3 year car!

just becuase the vee doesnt depreciate like a 172/182/197 does :)

Thats why I want a V6.

Will I can appreciate no car is an investment.

The price of a V6 should stay steady for a while as they are rare.

  MKIII 138
you get it for sounds though dont you ? i mean the v6 right behind your ears. why not just get a MKI for £10k and have done with it, its never gonna handle or accelarate as a modern hatch but the noise and looks are still great

I take it you mean £10k ;)

I definitely prefer the mk2 V6 over the mk1 V6.

Its the interior, front end look and extra power that doesn't it for me!

Yeah, I don't mind paying for the rareity of the vee, as long as it hold its value, which it seems to be!

You can't go wrong with a second hand one. Someone would have bought it for £27k brand new, two-three years down the line someone like me or you can snap one up for under half the price :) :) :)

Don't care if it holds its value or not. If its worth £20 next year I'll still enjoy driving it.

going in a straight line ;)

Nah!:nono:

Coming out of corners is best ;) .... When you can apply the power and torque due to the monster rear end grip.

SWEEEEEEEET!

Back on topic. I know the owner, and have seen the car. Its a nice car too, and has been looked after. As has been stated, its a rare colour. If you want that colour and with only 8 to chose from you will have to pay a permium when they occasionally come up for sale.

Peter:)

  An orange one
here here...

the vee is extremely quick A-B when you learn how to use the thing properly..

After driving vee's for 18 months nearly...I can safely say I would take on any standard 182 on a twisty B road.. and even if the 182 did win at the end...you can guarentee..they wont have had half the fun doing it :)
