Acoustic valve

Car  Cliosport 172 cu
As above ripped off today plugged hole with a bolt and tapped up plug.

Really I don't notice much difference in this only that it sounds a bit louder.

All I've done is left the one pipe on that was attached to the acoustic valve see pic

Do I need to leave the pipe on or take off?

Take it off, if you look at the right hand side of the front grill
you'll see there's a little duct that feeds air directly into the intake hole area.

Ok will do and what about the pipe that connect to the inlet that's the one I've blocked up is that right.

That intake pipe I've put it lower down I've routed it just under the fan lower grill.

The little pipe near the throttle body is the breather pipe,
you can remove it and block the hole off on the inlet elbow,
it's just any oil that would get fed back into the inlet manifold will just drip into your engine bay.

I'm using a silicone pipe so I don't have the breather pipe at all,
but I did fit breather filter to catch any drips.

Mines a ph1 airbox I'm keeping original air filter in.

Masewell keep that breather on then. Plus that little pipe what attaches to the nipple fed down to the acoustic valve but plug up from arch end.

The one on the elbow bigger pipe I've left attached as it should.

I've keepet that feed but I've re routed it to the lower grill part to increase air flow

Right you know the acoustic valve it's the pipe that comes from that up to inlet here I'll get a pic 2secs.

I've removed it and blocked off that pipe what's in my hand.

Only one I've left on is the air pipe which attaches to the side of box

But in this pic I've routed that pipe to here to get better air flow

Look nice when I've finished with it even thou it's only a plastic peace gotta make it look smart lol.

Plus putting down to there I'll get better air flow as it's more direct when driving.

But that elbow might do change it and find some think with more of a bend.
