Adding a Windows Network Printer in OS X

has anyone done this?

I have a MBP running Snow Leopard 10.6.3 and an old HP PSC 1400 series printer connected to the home PC (running Vista). I've turned on the shared printer option in vista and followed the steps shown by Apple here but i'm still unable to send anything to print successfully!

what am i doing wrong??
