Adjust Rear Coilovers

I want to adjust the height on the rear of my H&R coilovers.

Is it just a simple case of using a spanner at the bottom and turning that so it adjusts the top-hat the spring sits on?

Does the higher the top-hat sits mean the lower the rear will be?
