Advice on door speakers please

hey,

recently ive been noticing that an awful crackling noise comes from my door speakers, the front left one especially whenever i have my music at fairly high volumes. People have also commented that they can only hear base when sat in the back of my car and i wanted to if upgrading my door speakers would improve the situation?

i was thinking of the following coaxials:

either http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2743&tab=2&osCsid=b177907958fb5920679fc7ed165d3d6chttp://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2743&tab=2&osCsid=b177907958fb5920679fc7ed165d3d6c

or http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3144&tab=2&osCsid=b177907958fb5920679fc7ed165d3d6chttp://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3144&tab=2&osCsid=b177907958fb5920679fc7ed165d3d6c

do these seem sutiable? Which should i opt for?

secondly are coax speakers up to the job? Am i right in thinking that by placing these in the rear with the built in tweeters they will improve the sound where as the low height of the front speakers wont matter so much because there is already a pair of factory tweeters in the dash?

ive read that components are the better option but i simply cant be arsed with the efoort theyd take to install.

finally, im currently running a pioneer 8600mp http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3079&tab=2&osCsid=b177907958fb5920679fc7ed165d3d6chttp://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3079&tab=2&osCsid=b177907958fb5920679fc7ed165d3d6c

with an alpine 10" type r sub and alpine mono amp. I really dont want the cost of buying another amp and finding a location for it, would any new door speakers run sufficiently of my head unit and would i simply connect to existing speaker wires?

hope ive made myself clear above, i would be grateful if you could drop some opinions.

thanks for the info, i would have done some shopping around before i bought anything but i usually rate caraudiodirect or fairly low prices.

also, is it 13cm for both front and rear? ive read conflicting reports as tot eh size of the rear to the front.

In my opinion dont get coaxials, even if you get components and leave rhw standard tweeters in, or whatever. As I bought coaxials as i thought changing tweeters would be too hard and they probably wouldnt make a difference...so i bought 2 pairs of coaxials, so now I have 6 tweeters in the car - 2 in the dash and 1 on each speaker and it doesnt sound very good, even putting a hand over the dash tweeters makes a load of difference.

Which is why Im starting everything again and doing it all properly

argh!!!

what the f**k to do, imma troll through some of the components vs coax threads to amke my decision

components will cost more but if you put coaxials in, you will have to many tweeters and it will sound rubbish.

ps. im basing my opinion on my car, which is a 04 with tweeters in the dash. if you have an older car without said tweeters, then they wont be so bad

Dont assume its your speaker at fault... i had a problem like this and corrected it through a wiring fault... dodgy RCA can casue it too, HU / AMP / Crossovers are also other places that a prone to faults too. Make sure you test it with the other speaker (switch them round) before you go buying anything

P.S ive got a set of momo polks comps in mine, and im over the moon with them!
