Advice on this "MINT" 182.

  Italian 3.2 V6
ok guys, Seriously looking into buying this Liquid Yellow 182 this week.

-its 06 plate,
-"the last production 182 for the LY colour"
-it has full service history, (not due major yet)
-43k on the clock
-MOT'd untill March
-Mint condition inside and out
-loads of tread on tyres (front two mitch's are new)
-1 or 2 stone chips on bonnet
-Has Ktec Zorst system (Brand new) and ITG pannel filter on (its only mods)
-has both CUP packs
-ALL is working perfectly

little bad points..
-it has no TAX
-its in Northern ireland! :(
-PRICE TAG IS £7500 (going to try and haggle it down to £6900 if possible)

so im sure TAX can be sorted out in price.. and its going to cost me probs 200 all in (2 people) and a full days worth of travelling to go and view and MABY buy if all the above it true and correct!

is it worth it!? as i am after a MINT Liquid Yellow 182! and this seems the one to go for tbh..

heres some pics..

Its alot of money, even though its LY. Considering no Tax and will need the belts soon.

However if its what you want it, go for it.

Ps, You get the fun of going to northern ireland to buy it, Bought a C2 from in northern ireland was a great trip. Flew over with easyjet, bought the car then drove it back :D was fun.

Is that not expensive? I've no idea though.

Is the 2nd cup pack a spoiler and a front splitter? I don't know the difference between a cup spoiler and a FF one though!

well i dont mind that the belts will being due in a few months time as i have things planned ;)

Steering wheel looks knacked! Looks worse than my 04 one!

LY does command a premium over the other colours but to that extent? Im not sure!

its a big leap of faith, somebody else's idea of mint not not quite match up with yours and i could imagine you getting there only for it not to be right and you've wasted a huge journey for nowt.

i was gonna travel down to bognor to view an R27 advertised as mint but couldnt justify traveling that far just in case, i also believe it puts you in a tight spot when it comes to haggling the price, as the seller knows how much trouble youve been through to get there so your kinda on the backfoot from the start.

The other option is to get a member from that area to view it for you.

The opinion of someone not buying it will be honest!

There are plenty of members from Ireland im sure would be happy to go have a nosey round!

I dont like the rear bumper colour coding much and as pointed out the the steering wheel looks f**ked!

Its an 06 plate with similar miles to the 05 plate one in our for sale section however that one is cheaper and has had its big service!

Bearing in mind you aint gonna get any extra for buying the newer car, if they were the in at least the same condition i know what one i would be looking at.......

having the rear bumper insert sprayed begs the question why, LY paint aint cheap so would they have just had that little bit of plastic sprayed......?????

Interior shots always look like this if taken badly like that is. Take a photo of your interior with the flash on and all the plastics will look awful yet in reality they can be as new.

How much is it to transfer back from an Irish Plate to an English plate? Worth factoring into the costs alongside those of travelling.

And as people have said - Steering Wheel badly worn, Missing Front Splitter & Possibly re-sprayed rear bumber, all of which of course can be haggling points. Has it been for sale for very long?

I don't understand why you'd sell one of the nicest 172's on the site to buy an over priced 182 just because it's a girls colour.

Thats the one mate! About time! :D

Indeed! Splitter missing on the front too! I would question whether its actually mint!

Wanna buy mine? ;)

I'd get a little bit of money off. Its missing its splitter so theres £100 straight away. If it was priced at £7K, and had its splitter, i'd probably go for it taking into account it has a brand new exhaust on it worth £300+ and a panel filter £40.

I wouldnt buy one on that milage either! Best to keep looking (or waiting ;))!

.

Whats wrong with the mileage...?

Its under average and the belts have been done...! People get the impression cars in an exclusive colour should be stored under a blanket!

Id rather one thats been used so that anything that will break has broke and now been replaced!

  RB 182
indeed i would rather buy that one then the 7k one and the belts have been done an the rear bumper doesnt look funny either :p

  Italian 3.2 V6
ino what your saying but everything is just alot more worn (obv) and there for IMO more likely to go wrong sooner than later.. also its harder to shift on when comeing to sell on. i dno, i prefer cars that are under 60k, i usually like buying 2nd hand with around 40k on the clock.. just a personal thing i spose...

Has the Aux belt been done?

I wouldn't buy it just because of the numberplates.

It depends what the bloke wants! Originally he wanted mint and that car at 70 odd k isnt going to be imo yet it is still comanding an high price as far as your average 182 gos!?

Put it this way mine has sat in the garage for practically the 4 years iv had it and coverd just 16k (its on just over 30k now), it is spotless and fully serviced (recent cambelt and auxillary belt) and i was told by Renault when i was looking at trading it in it book value was under 6k! They were willing to offer 6.2k and then upped it to 6.5k which i probably wouldve copped elsewhere had i traded it in for the 200!

These cars will go for whatever someones willing to pay for them but i would always want low miles personally.
