Advice on unlocking my k800i

Anyone got any suggestions or recommendations for unlocking my k800i?

I would rather do it from my own pc over the net so am looking for anyone who's reliable enough and have been used before? There are some stall in notts offering it but would rather not give the phone to them...

... also does removing the service provider lock wipe any of the info on the phone, like text, pics etc?

yes it gets rid of everything.. its like a software update..

be aware that unlocking your phone voids manufacturers warranty

Right ok thanks for that... not bothered about warranty anyway. I bought it as a pay as you go on o2 but now am giving to my mate who's got a vodafone sim to put in it.

O2 should be unlocked from the factory mate! iv had loads of new phones from them and they have all been unlocked as standard!

Its not the sim lock I need removing, its the service providers lock.

Edited... sorry, misunderstood you! Just did what you said and it shows an unlock symbol next to all except the network one.... boggar.

Yeh, suppose I need to get it unlocked to take another SIM card then.

It has:

Network - Locked
Network subset - Unlocked
Service Provider - Unlocked
Corporate - Unlocked
Extended - Unlocked

Got it unlocked by these guys: http://www.phoneshopuk.biz/index.html Would highly recommend them and they have a shop in Nottingham if anyones local enough. Cost me £15.
