Check the earth, my horn wasn't working properly (intermittent and sounded like a duck farting) so cleaned up the earth connector and now works fine :)

can't you get at it by undoing the mudguard things in the wheel arch?

Yep, you'll need a jack, passenger wheel off, remove front part of arch liner (3 torx screws and two rubber bung things i think), then you should easily get to the horn(s). I don't know about all clios but mine had two horns (high and low pitch), the live will be a white wire, another wire from the earth point on the first horn to the live on the second horn and then the earth wire from the second horn bolted to the body.

If you've got a multimeter you could check the voltage getting to the horns, but all i needed to do was clean up all the connectors (i used some sandpaper), and clean up the earth point.

it'll most likely be the earth connection... either clean it or attach a new piece of wire to a new earth point
